چکیده

Unified RF requirements are derived for an UTRA/FDD com-pliant mobile transceiver. Consideration of system issues,multi-mode operation, and interfacing concerns leads to de-tailed receiver and transmitter calculations based on exist-ing UMTS specifications. Finally, compliant and design-compatible transceiver requirements are derived.KeywordsRF Transceiver, UTRA/FDD, transceiver requirements, directup/down conversion.

A Q-enhanced 3.6 Ghz Tunable Cmos Bandpass Filter for Wideband Wireless Applications

With the rapid development of information technology, more and more bandwidth is required to transmit multimedia data. Since local communication networks are moving to wireless domain, it brings up great challenges for making integrated wideband wireless front-ends suitable for these applications. RF filtering is a fundamental need in all wireless front-ends and is one of the most difficult par...

A 0.3-to-1.2GHz tunable 4th-order switched gm-C bandpass filter with >55dB ultimate rejection and out-of-band IIP3 of +29dBm

The trend towards reconfigurable receivers requires on-chip flexible filters that can replace dedicated, bulky and non-tunable filters (e.g. SAW and BAW [1]). Although BAW filters are compatible with silicon processes, their center frequency is sensitive to thickness variation of the piezoelectric material and the achievable tuneability is limited [1]. Other techniques to make RF on-chip Band P...

The Design of a 3-V 900-MHz CMOS Bandpass Amplifier

A new bandpass amplifier which performs both functions of low-noise amplifier (LNA) and bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed for the application of 900-MHz RF front-end in wireless receivers. In the proposed amplifier, the positive-feedback Q-enhancement technique is used to overcome the low-gain lowQ characteristics of the CMOS tuned amplifier. The Millercapacitance tuning scheme is used to compe...

A Tunable Inductor with Enhanced-Q based on CMOS Transconductance and its RF applications

This paper describes the Q enhancement of inductor or resonance circuit based on the controlled CMOS transonductance, which is applicable to either on-chip inductor or off-chip inductor. The proposed circuit configuration of high Q enhancement is evaluated for the RF transmit filter of a LTE mobile comm’s micro base station, with the Q factor of over 3000 and the capacity of 10W. A tunable filt...
